"I want to communicate the beauty of the broken world around us. A lot of our buildings in Christchurch are left alone and abandoned but that doesn’t mean they have lost all potential to be beautiful. My buildings are a metaphor for people as our current suicide rate in NZ is particularly high which in some cases is due to people feeling lonely or abandoned. My art was created to show the beauty of all the forgotten, burnt and rundown places."
