"I like creating works that cause the viewers to question what they are seeing. In my artworks I have been exploring ideas surrounding the personification of animals. I was very influenced by the style and ideas presented in Beatrix Potter’s illustrations. Her animals in human clothing were the foundation to which I developed my artboard, though I chose to take a darker approach by flipping the role of humans and farm animals, asking the viewer to question the treatment of animals, and ultimately are they any less worthy of humane treatment than people?"
