Skyler Morison

“I am trying to represent the emotion which comes with power, in particular, the barriers which form between those of higher and lower positions due to this difference. I am also trying to portray the connection between humans and the earth, and how we all return back to the earth, no matter how powerful we are. My artworks are mainly portraits of my father and myself, so I decided to represent some of the emotions, or distance, that I feel with him. Additionally, I'm really passionate about plants, so I decided to incorporate them into my work this year."
