"I want to explore and communicate the ideas of expression and a reflection of self through the use of figures and the manipulation of symmetry/asymmetry. I particularly enjoy the collaged aspects of painting and find that it allows me to collate different ideas to form a new perspective on pre-established contexts. I can then build on this to express my own concepts and paint as a newly formed notion. Ultimately, I like to create perceptions and connections between subject matter that are new and sometimes unexpected."
