Punipuao Afamasaga
"E so'o le fau i le fau" - UNITY is STRENGTH. The Nifo'oti - cane knife (left) and Fa'alaufa'i - bilateral toothed club (right) are treasured Samoan artefacts, historically used for war. I hope to portray this Samoan Phrase, evoking a sense of unity and strength, through this image. This piece of artwork is also dedicated to my parents, Ieriko and Ali’itasi Afamasaga, as they have solely raised me to preserve and sustain the culture that I strongly root from.
