“Not only do I want to show nature but I want to show people how important and how beautiful it is and how we should protect it for future generations to come. My iwi is Ngapuhi, associated with the Bay of Islands/Whangarei area. My artwork is based on the landscapes in Matapouri. It shows the nature which has been around for thousands of years that my ancestors would have lived in. And it shows the importance and value of that special place."
