I want to communicate through my art the exciting emergence of technology, both the positive, in connecting people around the world and advancing our society, and the negative, causing skepticism among new users and opening a whole new world of online communities and addiction to our devices. I think it's becoming more and more important for people to learn how to operate technology as it is occurring frequently in our day to day lives, in school, work and leisure. Working in digital technologies as a student taught me how to use it, and that it is everywhere. It's given us a way to connect more efficiently and work more efficiently. Reading sci-fi/dystopic books which have depicted technology in a kind of corrupt way, even though it is fiction? An artist who informs my work is David Salle. His work places itself in different perspectives to what the viewer might typically see."
