    Meg Spencer-Morgan

"I want my art to communicate the contrasting beauty of both architecture and nature. Along with this, the constant conflict between the two. Whilst strikingly different, both architecture and nature embody an undeniable beauty that I want to highlight. While highlighting this, I want my art to explore the conflicts between the two that ultimately jeopardise the sustainability of our planet - conflicts such as the inevitable destruction of nature in the course of the construction of, and mere existence of, the built environment. I want the viewers of my art to take time to appreciate the beauty of architecture and nature, to question the potentially harmful relationship between them, and think about ways for them to positively co-exist in order to protect the sustainability of the planet.

This particular series of prints explores the harsh beauty of architecture. The stitching and the overlaid puzzle-like geometric shapes were added to elevate the artwork - both aesthetically and thematically. In particular, the stitching and shapes represent the contrasting beauty and the connections and conflicts between architecture and nature."
