“The central theme in my art is social and political issues within Chinese culture and stereotypes.
It is based on my identity and ethnicity, as a New Zealand-born Chinese I grew up with Chinese cultural expectations. The work reflects feminism and Chinese culture, and is inspired by Kinstugi art. It highlights the flaws and connects broken pieces together it also emphasises fragility, sensitivity, and redemption. The artwork uses acrylic paint, ink, and gold foil (dutch metal)."
