Isabelle Jeffreys

The main message that I want to communicate through my art is about celebrating Māori culture and the beautiful wildlife in New Zealand. I was particularly focusing on the power and strength of wāhine in motion. My personal love and appreciation of Aotearoa's wildlife led me to research some endangered and extinct species, as well as the Māori perspective and understanding of our country. Also, the female role models in my life inspire me to create work celebrating women and our strength.
