“Having always been intrigued by the past and how differently, yet similarly, previous generations lived their lives, I spent the last year painting old family photographs. With each old photo from one of my Grandma's many boxes being like a postcard from the past, I wanted to convey the 'specialness' of each captured momentary scene. In my works I aimed to celebrate the often overlooked beauty of everyday life, explore the concept of passing time and convey the warm love of family.”
