"I wanted to convey the connection between New Zealand birds and humans. My art started off as an introduction to the NZ birds and then developed into how humans and birds are similar in features, then into how we are connected whether that be through habitat or objects.

I wanted to incorporate my home into my art. My art is very detailed and is made up of many layers like I am. I use art as a way to express my thoughts."
