“My paintings focus on exploring the luminosity of oil paint through landscapes and in doing so, creating different effects and moods. My landscape compositions are inspired by my love for nature. I have tried to depict a softness which reflects the calmness of a natural scene. Reading Beatrix Potter’s books as a child gave me a love for gardens and the countryside which I never got growing up in the city. I wanted to communicate her humble, gentle nature through my art-making.”
