“I’d call myself a feminist, so a lot of my work is about experiences as a woman. I want to convey the struggles that women have been through in the past, and that we still go through today, especially to get our rights. One of my other hobbies is cadets. This is a place where everybody is trying to be a leader and I often find that because I am a woman, I am instantly viewed as less than my male counterparts. This is the main place where I see sexism in my life. Boys at cadets with the same skill set as me are automatically put higher because of their gender and it frustrates me. But just because it’s hard doesn’t mean I will give up, so I am trying to prove that I am equal, and get the guys to see their biases."
