Isabella Cragnolini
"I aimed to capture the beauty and fragility of flowers in my art and remind people not to take nature for granted. Through my work, I hope to raise awareness about climate change and the impact it has on our environment. I’ve loved flowers and nature for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent hours in the garden with my parents, watching them care for the plants and learning to appreciate the delicate beauty around me.
Living in Aotearoa, I feel so lucky to be surrounded by nature, and I want my art to reflect that privilege. I’m inspired by artists like Robert Kushner, John Powell, and Claude Monet. I love the way they use bright colours and capture the beauty of life, which is something I try to bring into my own work."
